Not sure if anyone is still following this blog or the RSS anymore, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to plug some stuff I've been shooting lately. (Click the images below to go to the corresponding album).
Last Friday morning, I had the opportunity to shoot a friend's kids out in west Eugene.
And later that evening, the UO Cultural Forum hosted the 3rd annual World AIDS Day Condom Fashion Show, so 2 of my photo buddies and I brought our cameras. Because of the horrid lighting, I ended up doing a lot more post-production work on these images.
Then on Saturday, a friend performed in the semi-weekly "Comedy Workout" at Diablos. I shot several photos here, but haven't gone through them yet (just finished the 2nd shoot above tonight). The lighting here has got to be the worst I have ever tried to shoot in, so thank god for the f/1.4 lens I had access to!
On Sunday, my friend David, his roommate and I went on a photo-adventure to Shotgun Creek OHV. Having soooo many digital images to go through, I didn't want to take many, so I brought my film camera and my last 1.5 rolls of film I had from last spring. Shot about a roll worth, but it was pretty dark so I didn't have a chance to shoot too many.
Finally, after that shoot, David and I pooled together some lenses we owned and/or had access to for a somewhat unscientific shootout of 50mm lenses (f/1.4, f/1.8 and f/2.5 macro), and a comparison of the Canon 50mm compact macro to the Tamron 28-70mm f/2.8 macro/medium telephoto.
